This modern hill house was located in near Melbourne. It was designed by Australian architect Andrew Maynard. This hill house with large door which connect the interior to the landscape. Some wall of the home was overgrown grass and blend with the grass in the park. It become green wall which can absorb heat.

Designed to take advantage of Northern California’s climate, this Mediterranean-style residence has multiple outdoor living areas oriented towards views of San Francisco Bay and Mt. Tamalpais. The 3-story home is anchored into its steep hillside site with hand-cut stone walls. The topmost floor’s outdoor loggia features a fireplace and radiant floors to extend outdoor living throughout the foggy season. Below, a garden, pool, fire pit, outdoor pizza oven and Roman spa complement the clients’ indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Plaster walls and ceilings are complemented by custom steel and bronze doors, windows, balconies and awnings. [ BCV Architects ]
