January 7, 2016 Interior Design

A studio apartment is a place which consists on one roof and covers all essential areas of the home. They are often as small as 300 feet and most commonly they are 500 to 600 feet in measurement. They are thought to be an inexpensive place to stay upon. The studio apartment is designed in such a way that it has only one room which has attached bath and a separate corner within the same room having a cabinet or a counter for kitchen stuff.
Such homes are appropriate for the singles, newly married couple, old couples and for those who are away from home because of jobs and study purposes and need a space like home to live.
Now, I am going to express some of the points which will describe you simple and cost effective ideas for decorating your studio apartment.

1.The first thing which you can do to decorate your studio apartment is that you sort out all areas within the room according to their function. This means that you can fix one portion of your room as a sleeping area and the other portion as a living room. For privacy concerns you can place a decorative screens or dividers between both portions. Curtains can also be utilized as a divider.

2.In studio apartments the main issue is the limited space which is manageable with the help of multipurpose furniture items. You can purchase sofa bed for your space whichcan be converted into sofa during day and a bed at night. You can also procure separate bed other than Italian beds in small double beds size which is about 4ft wide and can be placed in limited space.

3.The third important addition to your space would be in the form of ample storage spaces. In studio apartments you might find a limited space for storing your belongings this issue can be sorted out in diversified ways including the multipurpose furniture items; this means that you can place a bed with a storage space in the form of drawers. Apart from this you can place supplementary furniture items like, cupboards. For kitchen space fix hanging pot racks to give an organized look. Moreover place magazines racks and small ottomans to store small accessories. In this way you can store everything in a well-balanced style.

4.Now its time to deal with the colors. You can add soft pastel colors to give a spacious look within your small apartment. This can be added in the form of wall paints. To break the monotony you can add up a splash of color by placing small cozy cushions over the bed and sofa bed. This will surely add up a variety and exciting look within your space.

5. Last but not the least point is linked with the accessories. The home is incomplete without wall hangings and other decoration pieces. In this home you should pick a few number of wall accessories. Because too much decoration pieces will give a messed up feeling and it will not seems to be appealing.
