This residence on Lot 176 is located on a ridge along the west of the Elysium development with views to the rear into extant landscape and a golf course beyond. The residence occupies the majority of the allowable building envelope and then provides a carved out two story volume in the center to allow light and ventilation to all interior spaces.

House on Harper’s Island by Polhemus Savery DaSilva
Designed by Polhemus Savery DaSilva, House on Harper’s Island is located in special location in Harper’s Island. From Architects : It is a private island of one and one half acres, a tuft of woodland surrounded by salt marsh, pond, creek, and Nantucket Sound.There are other houses in view, but they are separated by the marsh and water. The only access to the site is over a 300-foot-long footbridge. It is a private naturalist’s paradise, yet one can walk to popular beaches.

Here are pictures of Modern Wood House in some place near Los Angeles, designed by Klaus Matuschka. The house is surrounded by a lot of trees like oaks and cinnamon. Reinforced concrete and steel is used for ground floor, while the second floor mostly done in timber. The first floor consist of public areas while bedrooms and other private space on the second one.
