This project comprised extensive alterations and an interior refurbishment to the Muizenberg campus building for False Bay College. The building has catered to a variety of uses over the years. The brief required the design of an upgraded southern façade and entrance area as well as the design of a new student cafeteria and training restaurant. The project also included the furnishing and fitting out of the interior spaces. A fresh seaside theme, with imagery reminiscent of the heyday of the Muizenberg coastline was employed as the central design concept for the restaurant. Source

Living Room view of Duplex Apartment in Central Park West New York City Duplex Apartment, in Central Park West, New York City

Description from Bonetti/Kozerski Design Studio :
Duplex residence in a building from 1930 overlooking Central Park.
The apartment was redesigned by Robert Stern in the early seventies, then altered by Michael Graves in 1978 and finally received a gut renovation for a young family in 1986.

This renovation adapted the apartment to the new needs of the same family, whose children had moved out. It features a new expanded open living space and dining area that is centered around a double-sided fireplace with an extended hearth in hand-cut walnut travertine. The upper floor has a wide master bedroom with a wood platform along the entire length of the window wall, leading out to a narrow terrace with spectacular views of the park.

Centrifugal Villa by Obra Architects

Posted by worldhouse on October 26, 2009

Centrifugal Villa was designed by Obra Architects, located in Southampton, New York. This Villa is arranged around a hollow center, as if the heart of the house had somehow fallen outside its body. The string of subsequent spaces in its interior provide a comprehension of the whole by sacrificing their individual geometric cohesiveness to the fractured configuration of the entire composition.

The experience of the interior is characterized by constantly shifting vanishing points, at the place of their collision in each crease of the plan, large openings cutting dormer scoops on the roof, centrifugally release the views out to the surrounding landscape.
