This is a renovated of boathouse with 600 square feet by Christopher Simmonds Architects so the result is boathouse with very modern look. This is a simple boathouse but it include amazing house with minimalist interior design too. Simple interior design with minimalist furniture which gives satisfaction. This modern bright and airy apartment is located in Brazil. Clear, modern sleek lines and black and white color scheme make the house airy and fresh. To add some softness, the designers used beige color, and to make colorful accents they put some bright furniture around. Giant windows form floor to ceiling let the day light in; a storage wall in the living room is a smart variant for storage. Thanks to white and beige the space looks bigger. Minimalist white kitchen with wood is made funnier with the help of colorful tiles on the left wall. They are all different and help to make the place alive. The same shade of brown wood used everywhere in the apartment gives a special feature to it. It’s like Brazil itself – bright, fresh and colorful, full of light.

At the exterior, a pool was placed near the house building. Trees and grass at the garden further add to the green environment around the home. Thanks to the green plants the air around the house to be fresh because the green plants absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxsigen.

Almost the wall painted in white, at the living room the wall combined with natural stone wall. At the living room there is decorative indoor pool with waterfall against a transparent pane of glass cascades all the way from the second floor, where the ceiling is cut away to reveal the upper living space, and a row of plants breathe greenery into the home, reflecting the garden beyond.

Lounge area with modern chairs in a warm pop of red provides an area to retire and enjoy the interior waterfall as the evening draws in. It can make us more Relax, be able to unwind after a day of work. The sound of water falling like a waterfall can bring us into free natural atmosphere.

The bedroom combination between white and black with splash make the bedroom appear contemporary. Comfortable for sleeping, the large clear glass make the bedroom can interaction with outdoor environment.

” The Sightline House is located on a West facing plateau overlooking a dramatic mountain range at the eastern end of the Coachella Valley. The area is known for its extreme summer heat, severe winds and unstable geology. The winter climate is temperate however, and the natural beauty is inspiring.

The projecting and sheltering roof planes of the house are designed to relate to the horizontality of the desert floor, connecting the house directly to its natural surroundings. The house is organized around two main concepts: to use the mass and materials of the house to shelter the inhabitants from extreme desert conditions; and conversely, to open the house to the mountain views and clear desert light. ”

House in Kujyukuri, Retired House

To respond the client Japanese architect Kimihiko Okada decided to minimize the operations and materials to achieve the maximum effect.
From the Architect : “The house was requested to be built simple and with low construction fee, therefore, I decided to minimize the operations and materials to achieve the maximum effect. It is built on the peaceful village of the gently-sloping ground with a few residences and wood. The wall of the house starts as a site boundary. It draws a continuous spiral and ends as the partition of a central single room, gradually changing its height. The spaces with different functions such as a field, a parking lot and a work place, the living room, and the bedroom are placed in spiral continuously and yet gently divided by the wall. The different experience created by the distance of each rooms and the wall enclosed by many-fold, give depth to the space and produce the rank of privacy. Though it is a small residence of about 65 square meters of total floor area, it is aimed to create an image of endlessly continuing space and depth, and also, to give the sense of security and gentle changes in environment, by being enclosed by several folds.”

Toda House Like a bird’s nest

To respond to the requests, Japanese architect Kimihiko Okada completed Toda House, Spiraling Home with Unique Appearance and Architecture Details in Hiroshima. From Architect :”The house is lifted from the ground. Like a bird’s nest, it called up architecture’s primary function of relief from disturbance. The house is open to the view and yet protected from the fear and environment. Slab and roof consists of one continuous plate. The variations of circulation and diverse spatial relations were achieved by placing a penetrating staircase. The extended plate made possible the future extension and softened the impression from the ground level. Spandrel wall changes its height accordingly to the thickness of slab. Together with the slab, the spandrel wall creates the continuous but various environments.”

Hedonistic Rooftop Penthouses by JDS Architects

Description from JDS Architects:
“Elmegade district is probably one of the most densely populated areas of inner Nørrebro, Copenhagen. The triangular block Birkegade / Egegade / Elmegade has a very high density, turning its courtyard to a close to zero surface. When we were asked to design 3 penthouses on top of one of the block’s co-owned buildings our concept became to use the roof of the newly designed top floor to create the ‘missing garden’ for its community of owners.
In order to qualify ‘the missing garden’, we looked at the Copenhagen typology of garden, which characteristically has an associated functionality.

The hedonistic rooftop is reflected in a playground with shock-absorbing surface and a playful suspension bridge, a green hill with varying accommodation backed by real grass and durant vegetation, a viewing platform, an outdoor kitchen and barbecue, and a more quiet wooden deck. We seek to optimize and fully exploit the situations the site has to offer, and thereby design a potential for the future exploitation of the roof to the delight of all the co-op’s residents. Usually a roof defines a final measure of any construction. We imagine cities where people will be the last measure of the environment. ”
